What are we all about?

We started Morningstar Acres in 2022 because we were both nearing retirement and wanted to do work that felt meaningful.  I’ve loved gardening since I was a little kid weeding my grandpa’s garden.  Scott's background operating equipment and his love of woodworking finds him on the tractor or in the wood shop.  So, what better way to fuse our passions than with flower farming and making hand-crafted items.

We grow our flowers from seed or bulb in the fall and winter so that we can bring them to you in late spring through mid-autumn.  Using sustainable methods (mostly our sweat equity) we offer flowers without pesticides, grown right here in northwest PA, at their peak of freshness. 

 

But we have much more to share like homemade preserves, wood crafts, fiber arts, and you name it.  You get to benefit from my short attention span – I’m all-in on a project until the next one catches my eye.  Check out our flower stand often since products change with the seasons.

 

Connecting with nature is important to us and we are honored to care for this property.  We love to share it with you whether you are picking up flowers from the stand, come for a workshop, or want to do a farm tour. 

 

We have intentionally sized our farm so that we can devote our attention to you.  The best part of this adventure has been meeting so many interesting people, bringing joy in so many ways, and sharing our land with our community.
